25 Weeks
This entire pregnancy has been one countdown after another. With a lady-cycle that operates like clockwork, I found out I was pregnant the day Aunt Flow was supposed to arrive. Needless to say, it’s been a long 20 or so weeks since then, and I have to admit that I have never been fully content with any of the wonderful stages of pregnancy I’ve made it through. I’m constantly looking forward to the next exciting thing!
I can remember at five weeks, I couldn’t wait to be twelve weeks along so I could share the news (that ended up not making a difference because I couldn’t wait 7 minutes, let alone seven weeks to tell EVERYONE IN MY LIFE, including my mailman… and you think I’m joking).
When I hit twelve weeks, I absolutely couldn’t handle not knowing whether it was a boy or a girl. Finding out about Miss Madelyn at seventeen weeks was the greatest thing, but still, I was aching to be really showing and feeling those little kicks. Well, now all these little milestones have come (and more — I’ll spare you the scary and hairy details) and are just a normal part of life. I’ve been sitting at my desk for the past hour and have felt her moving and wiggling almost the entire time. My regular visits to Target’s shoe displays have been overridden by the trips to the Baby and Maternity sections. Okay, that’s sort of a lie, but I do spend significantly less time shopping for shoes!
Throughout this whole experience, 25 weeks stuck out in my mind as the ultimate milestone. Why I chose that number, I have no idea… but it always seemed so far away and I felt I’d never get there.
Ta-da! I’m here! Only fifteen weeks and a little over 100 days to go until I meet my darling little daughter. Gosh, that still sounds so crazy.

You are so adorable!

i can understand that — how waiting for each milestone was just that, waiting for the next one! now i am waiting for her arrival — being over 36 weeks (37 on friday) makes me that much more impatient.
good luck! hang in there!

Funny, I just got done looking at Target’s maternity section myself. You look SO good Morgan! Seriously, you look healthy and energetic and like you’re doing pregnancy easy! It sorta is insane that it’s less than 100 days til you fall in love in an instant with your little one. I think of you every time I go into “our” practice now- ohhh so many cute little TINY babies in there.

You are the cutest thing! So adorable! Great picture — and I too love that shirt! Are you in your backyard? Wah, I want a backyard instead of my stupid deck that the pigeons poop on! I need a new apartment.

okay, could your baby bump be any smaller for someone at 25 weeks? You look amazing. I have been looking towards the next best thing during this pregnancy too. And in just one week we’ll have our ultrasound to see if baby curtis is going to need pink or blue. You look so great.

looking fabulous as always, my dear!! I hope I’m as glowy and cute as you when I’m 25 weeks. 25 weeks, Morgan!! WOW– you are going to be holding that precious daughter of yours before you know it. I cannot wait for you to experience it!! There is nothing like it.
I seriously laughed out loud at the boob thing. Oh my gosh, mine have grown by leaps and bounds since getting pregnant.Eek!! Half my bras don’t even fit properly. :( Call me weird, but I prefer having nice small ones– I feel more petite and lady-like. :) I also laughed at Shea’s comment. Um, yeah… so true. It’s almost funny, really.

Can I just say how JEALOUS I am of your delicious bump? It’s perfection. And I’m loving your wide leg jeans. So chic!
