The Little Chair
08th
2008
Being that I’ve been in a super crafty (and nesty!) mood lately, I figured it was about time to give my little vanity chair a makeover. I’ve never recovered anything, so I wasn’t quite sure how it was going to turn out…
Before:
After:
A little black spray paint and a major case of trigger finger later (staple guns are serious business, man), I have a much prettier place to sit and put on my makeup.
And umm, I just have to say how incredibly addicting that fabric is. I went back to the fabric store and bought another yard — okay, two yards – of it and covered some cork board (which you can see on the table in the picture), and have been trying to figure out something else to do with the rest because it is just SO DARN CUTE. That was the longest sentence ever. Anyway… Ideas? :)

I’ve been lurking and don’t think I have ever commented, I found you through Steph and other bloggers. I love that fabric, I have something similiar hanging up as drapes in my office/guest room and I have a pillow and I am trying not to go over board but I am really in love with that pattern. I love what you did with it, I have to agree with another comment that it is very shabby chic.

I LOVE that fabric! I’ve been trying to find something just like that actually!
I don’t know how the rest of the room is decorated, but could you possible make any pillows out of it?
Great job with the chair! My boring computer chair is jealous.

Where did you find that fabric? I have had a hard time finding cool fabric in the Fresno/Clovis area- a lot of patterns seem very “old lady” or not hip at all. Please advise!

not sure what kind of fabric it is but you could make some throw pillows maybe cover a canvace with it and piant a picture frame white and use some small decals that would look pretty as a picture and put it all togeather as a new wall hanging to use as part of a new theme just some idas
