Pink Bow

Someone said that she looks like she has brown curly hair in this picture… now every time I look at this I get kind of weirded out because all I can see is a mini-fro, haha. It’s just a headband. :)

She is starting to squeal and giggle and it has to be the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Justin and I lay her on the changing table and make the stupidest noises you’ve ever heard over and over… and she just loves it.

We also discovered that she likes Arthur. You know, the cartoon. Please don’t judge me for having a 10 week old that likes to watch tv… it happened by accident. Yesterday, Justin put her in her bouncy seat in the living room while we finished getting dressed for church. That show was on (Justin, were you watching it? Don’t lie.) and she was bouncing and kicking and squealing like a mad woman. It was cute until I actually listened to the show for a few seconds.

Have you HEARD D.W.’s obnoxious screech?? That kid screams constantly! Issues, I’m telling you. I’m expecting to deal with some annoying little kid shows in the coming years, but Madeline… for the love of all that is holy, NOT ARTHUR.

she's stupid.
ugh, I hate her.

  1. Eek! I know what you’re talking about… beware, however, of Caillou. To some, it’s a typical little boy voice, but it seriously used to irritate the hell out of me- – extremely whiney… sounded like the kid was close to tears every time he spoke! My son was NOT allowed to watch it.

  2. and what’s up with the family having a dog? aren’t they animals also? doesn’t that go against nature, animals making pets out of animals? and D.W. is way less annoying to me than the show Caillou. I hate that cartoon

  3. Some kid shows are just completely obnoxious. My pet peeves are the ones that have characters with speech impediments… like Wonder Pets. UUUUGGGHHH… and it’s supposed to be a learning show??

  4. squee!! She’s SO adorable!! What a doll.
And yes, certain kids shows have been banned from our house for the simple fact that I CAN’T STAND THEM. The Wiggles, Caillou, Dora the Explorer, and Yo Gabba Gabba are a few. ugh.
We personally love Little Einsteins, Charlie and Lola (MY FAV), Word World, and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. Of course, you have a ways to go before you must really make these important decisions. ;)

  5. She is too cute with that bow! I used to love the Arthur books growing up but thank God I was never subjected to the TV show. I am sure it would have killed my love of his misadventures.

  6. LOL!! i’m NOT gonna lie, i TOTALLY did a double take when this post came up in my reader b/c i too thot she had a fro LOL!! I’m sure it looks completely different in person tho, it just made me feel better that other people thot so too, b/c for a min i was thinking maybe I was beginning to have a complex about MY fro!! ;D

omgggg i HATE DW!! LOL YOu need to get little Maddie some Baby Einstein cds, my boys LOVED them annnnd they were perfect for sticking them in the bouncy while they watched so i could take a shower. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do! hehe.

  7. I work in a hospital at the front desk and when the tvs on Arthur in the afternoons the theme song does catch me :) but we are always discussing the same thing about D.W. she is a brat! I also agree with one of the previous commenters about the speech impediments, I thinks its totally wrong to incorrectly say a word on purpose when little kids are the main viewers…

  8. Missed you at Shea’s Bday party Sunday night. Maddie’s pictures are so beautiful I bet she is even more adorable in person. Hope to see you at the next family party :-)

  9. Haha, that’s great. DW was a whiny little thing, wasn’t she?!

Don’t worry, I’m sure her tastes will change to another annoying cartoon character in no time :)

And P.S. she just gets cuter and cuter every day!

  10. Awww I miss her face. You invited yourself over to our house, and I must do the same. :) We’ll have to figure out something because I must see that smiley face again
