Dude. Breastfeeding. It works.

Antibodies that fight off illness.
Special bonding time.
Cheaper than formula.
Those are all wonderful reasons to breastfeed, don’t get me wrong. But seriously — after all my boobs have endured over the past 3 months, I deserve a little something right?
Well holy size 8′s, Batman! It’s paying off.
Obnoxious bragging incoming…
Somehow I managed to lose almost 45 pounds! And I ate 3 cupcakes last night, I’m not even lying. That means I’m a little under 10 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. HALLELUJAH.
And while I’m at it, let me just say that Madeline has now been sleeping through the night (10 hours straight) for the past two months. Sleep deprived mothers, you may curse and shake angry fists at me now.
I am so blessed.
But still I say, Mama needs a new pair of boobs. And that’s not changing anytime soon.

So…she’s been sleeping through the night since she was Landon’s age? How do you do it? Sigh, I’m so sleep deprived it’s ridiculous. Congrats on losing the weight so fast! :)

Woohoo, you go girl!! I am so happy and excited for you, I know just how great it feels to lose all that poundage afterwards. It’s SUCH a relief, and so rewarding. I can only hope it happens to me this time too…
also, your child is amazing!! I am so happy she’s sleeping so well for you!! Sweet little Maddie… she knows Mama needs her rest.
And yes, new boobs are a must for me someday too. :)

You have no idea how happy this post made me. Seeing as though I was already at 30 pounds gained at my last doctors appointment 3 weeks ago… and I am just now at 30 weeks, I know I have some more pounds to gain and I’m already stressing about how the heck I’m going to loose them!! Its so good to hear how its just coming right off for you with the help of breast feeding. If THAT wasn’t motivation enough to breast feed, I don’t know what is!! :-)

I have you for so many reasons – especially the sleeping through the night one. But it’s hatred in the most luvable way possible. ;)

Oops! Have = hate

Good for you!! That is so awesome! :)

See, this is one of the reasons I think having a baby younger would be GREAT. It’s proven that the earlier you have the baby, the easier your body sheds the gained weight… :)

Damn people like you who lose weight while breastfeeding. It didn’t/doesn’t do anything for me in that regard. Still worth it for every other reason though. :)
Good job you!

Breastfeeding really is amazing. I gained 45 pounds when I got pregnant. My son is 4 months old and I’m 2 pounds less than I was when I got pregnant. I couldn’t even believe it.
The fact that he was 10lbs 2 1/2 oz when he was born and eats like a hoss probably explains it.

I want to name my future daughter madeleine…hpefully she will be a great sleeper too!
