First of all, is Justin not the best ever? I woke up to that post on Mother’s Day and just about died from the sweetness of it all. I have to admit that I read it with that nervous, squinty/wincing expression I usually make while watching a scary movie. You know the one? I was thinking, please, just don’t mention how I haven’t shaved my legs in a month, or talk about that stupid dance I do to make you laugh when you’re annoyed with me. Thankfully, he didn’t…
I guess he doesn’t find those things cute. Whatev.
I did have a fabulous Mother’s Day weekend. A few highlights:
- Attending the Ladies’ Day of Pampering at church. I had a back massage, dipped my hands in paraffin wax (BURNED, but produced a silky smooth result) and my eyebrows threaded. Have you ever done this? My eyebrows have never looked so good… I LOVED IT. Except the part when the lady said, “Do you want me to do your mustache too?” I cried a little inside.
- Watching an unfinished download of Wolverine with Justin. Now this was comical… most of the special effects were left out, so a lot of the fight scenes were super cheesy and hilarious. My favorite was watching Ryan Reynolds trying to look badass with his crazy sword moves, when he had super obvious wires attached to his shoulders.
- Busting out the old Dance Dance Revolution with my brother and cousins on Mother’s Day. Asians at the local nickle arcade, beware. These white kids have some crazy skills.
What did you do?
I had to show Justin’s post to my husband on Sunday. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever written. B was quite impressed!!
You should’ve posted a video of the DDR!!

I get my eyebrows threaded all the time! It is just the best! They always look so clean and not irritated like they do after waxing

Oh my goodness… one time I was getting my eye brows (and mustache) waxed… and the lady asked if I wanted my SIDE BURNS waxed!!! I laughed and was like “NO!” But I guess I couldn’t be too offended, considering I was getting my ‘stash waxed.
Glad you had a great Mother’s Day! Your husband’s post was so sweet.

MUSTACHE! LOL, that’s mean! And no I’ve never even got them even waxed, free self plucking FTW. Justin’s post was so cute btw ;)
I obsessed over MY Madelyn by taking hella pics (yeah, hella), and watching her sleep because apparently that’s what creepy people like me do. Oh but for reals we spent all Sunday at my parent’s :) I love my Mommmmmy!

I LOVE paraffin wax for my hands. They feel like heaven afterward! I’m so glad you had a great Mother’s day!
BTW, Cale totally downloaded that copy of Wolverine, but I told him the FBI was going to get him and there was no way I was going to be associated with him and his thieving ways. ROFL. Or it might be that I would much rather see Hugh in all his glory on a much larger screen instead? hehe

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Is getting your eyebrows threaded way better than getting them waxed? Does it hurt when they’re threaded? Where in town to you go to do this? How much does it cost?
