2009
I was 35 weeks pregnant, and my biggest concern was knowing where the nearest Baskin Robbins was AT ALL TIMES.
See the proof? Badonk.
A lot has changed since I took that photo.
I am now constantly aware of the nearest Starbucks, and know exactly what time I need to wake up in the morning to get myself and baby ready, pick myself up a latte, and be at work on time (6:34am). Do I ever actually get to work on time? Psh.
Thankfully, my butt has returned to a much more normal size and no longer frightens small children and the elderly.
I have sadly lost old friends and gained amazing new ones. (Lost as in, don’t talk to. They didn’t die, so don’t you dare feel sorry for them, thankyouverymuch.)
I’ve learned of the awesomeness that is Dexter. And Edward. And Eric.
I have come to accept the humbling, unglamorous moments of being a mother, and have found soaking your shirt in soapy water before washing really helps in getting the baby poop stains out.
Physical changes: I’ve gone from short mousy brown hair to blonde, to blonde with bangs, to longer dark brown with bangs. Gained a total of 50 pounds as of October 2008… lost a total of 60 pounds as of October 2009. Bra size has gone up (WAY FREAKING UP) and back down again, sadly. I rather enjoyed those while they lasted.
I fell in love with a sweet, LOUD, giggly, green-eyed baby girl. I fell further in love with her daddy.
2009 wins.

What a great post! Congrats on all you’ve learned and accomplished in the last year!

Its amazing how much life can change in one year. Especially when it involves pregnancy and becoming a mom. I was just looking back at me a year from now… and while I was only like 16 weeks prego, it was still crazy to put myself back in that time and place.
Oh and friends who don’t understand can SUCK IT.

I discovered you via Sarah thru your pregnancy journey last year (all those awesome cell phone bathroom pics) and now I can’t imagine life without a Mrs Priss! You are hilarious. Seriously hilarious. This line?
“Thankfully, my butt has returned to a much more normal size and no longer frightens small children and the elderly”
I almost choked on my spaghetti LOL!
I need more Morgan in my life, I don’t even care if that makes me sound uber creepy yo! Let’s stop having awkward meetings at the mall (with you looking fabulous & me looking like shite in my work uniform) and go do something! I also think I need some Madeline in my life, that chubby cheeked baby is a girl not to be missed out on! ;)
Let’s get together, yeah yeah yeah, we’ll have lots o’ fuh-un!

Loved this post! You’ve had one big exciting year. Remember when your biggest fear was going … you know… during delivery and now you’re cleaning it out of your shirts?! (p.s. only slightly traumatized by that thought..) You’re superwoman.
Oh and I miss those pregnancy photos.. can you get pregnant again just so that we can see more?? lol!

Hi! I met you at the airport when you were returning from NY (two?) months ago. I just now stopped in to check out your blog. :) Cute writing style! I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far. It was so nice to meet you!
