Shabby Apple Dress Giveaway, WOO!

Pop on over and take a look when you have a chance… it’s like floating through a pretty, ruffly dream.

Okay, now on to business. Shabby Apple has sweetly offered to give away their Five to Nine dress to one of my readers!

Is that not the most adorable little black dress you’ve ever seen? I know. I’m actually quite jealous that one of you gets to own it and wear it and be fabulous in it, I’m not gonna lie.

So what do you have to do to enter? Just leave one comment on this post. Tell me anything. Your New Year’s resolutions. What you ate for breakfast. Introduce yourself if you’re new around these parts. Shower me with adoring compliments… I don’t care!

  1. Ive been lurking around here for a while and never commented. Nothing like a giveaway to bring out all the lurkers!

  2. Oooo, thank you for introducing me to this fabulous store! I would love to win that dress & take my work wardrobe up a notch. :)

  3. After being on vacation since Christmas Eve, I’m so not ready to be back in the swing of things. But this dress brightened my day!

  4. i’m in love with that dress and the store! i’m from brazil and would love to be able to win.. please tell me i can be the winner!

  5. Another longtime lurker here. That LBD is the perfect motivation to get back into pre-Christmas shape!!

  6. I just stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago when googling “felt flower tutorials” and I was hooked. I love it!

  7. My new years resolution is to roll out of bed earlier so I can actually try to look somewhat attractive for my morning classes! So I should get this dress to help me out, no?

  8. Love Shabby Apple! Just ordered my first dress from there – how did I not find this site before?

Woot woot for cute maternity dresses too!

  9. I love the dress!! So cute :D

One of my new year’s resolutions is to go on more dates with my husband this year. Meaningful dates, not all spur of the moment kind. (I have also tweeted!)

  10. Literally the only thing I’ve ever won was two tickets to see The Backup Plan, a friggin’ Jennifer Lopez movie. I would love for my first good prize to be this dress! I’d wear it everywhere!

  11. LOVE Shabby Apple! Thanks, Morgan, for sharing the SA love with us. My NY’s resolution is to have a healthy pregnancy/baby in May. That’s all I’m focusing on in 2011! :)

  12. I just ate a Snickers (fun size) with peanut butter in the middle. Have you seen these? They are a regular Snickers bar with some peanut butter in there. I prefer my regular Snickers, but this wasn’t so bad that I spit it out or threw the rest away.

  13. Love that dress!

Random thing to tell you…right now I am watching Finding Nemo and pumping (tmi?). Oh the joys of motherhood :)

  14. What a fantastic giveaway! I love the weekly photos of your pregnancy. What a lovely documentation of this special time with your new child.

  15. Cute cute cute! I saw Shabby Apple a year ago and I’ve always loved their clothes. That dress is adorable, and I could use a little black dress for the new job that I’ll hopefully be getting in the next few months :)

  16. I adore that dress, wow! And I love reading your blog – such witty humor. It makes me relive my pregnancies :) And I love love love your tutorials.

  17. Does it come in a size Nothing Looks Good On A Post Baby Belly? If not if I win it I could hang it up and stare at it and sigh dreamily and then swear at my sister whenever she tries to steal it.

  18. Lurker that could not resist! This dress is amazing!

So, I need to tell you something, eh? Well, right now I am drinking probably the best (nonalcoholic) drink in the world…Passion Tea Lemonade! (Doesn’t hurt that it is a beautiful shade of pink!)

  19. This is my entry! I looked at the website and was very pleasantly surprised to see that they have plus size dresses. Also, the dress you’re giving away “fits generously”, so I think I can pull off an XL. Yay!

  20. They have the most adorable dresses I think I’ve ever seen! Love it!
..and you my dear are no whale of a woman. You are the cutest darn pregnant lady I have just about ever seen.

  21. You are definetly not a whale! When I was pregnant I could sit in a chair and rest my belly on the seat if I could get my legs open. But I guess thats what got me in the situsation in the first place! oops!

  22. I can finally fit in to my pre prego clothes 8 weeks after having my baby girl and I would love to wear this dress out on a HOT date with my hubby!

  23. My new year resolution is to stop cussing like a sailor. In fact, i’ll probably make that sailor blush from all the cuss words I say/make up on a regular basis.

  24. Firstly, I need to get this out of the way. I don’t know if I just haven’t been to your comments section in a while, or you’ve redone it, or I’m just not remembering. Either way, it’s fabulous. I’m jealous.

Anyway, the LBD is pretty fabulous too. I don’t know that I’ll be able to pull it off quite as well since, after the holiday season, I feel much like you do… and I’m NOT pregnant. But I’d still rock it. And I’d get a lot of use because I don’t have a go-to LBD at the moment. So, basically, pick me! Be jealous. :)

  25. oh good lord i need that dress!!

do compliments increase my chances? because i just found you by way of clever girl goes blog and you have one of the cutest prego bellies i’ve ever seen :) (no really, you do.)

  26. Ooh, so pretty!! I’d feel like such a real woman if I wore this about town. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!! My boyfriend just got named Godfather to his new nephew, exciting!!

  27. I love Shabby Apple. I’ve been dying over the marseille dress for awhile. I am really excited to hear they have maternity dresses, since cute ones are SO hard to find. I’ll be able to justify one next time around- yea!!!

  28. I love Shabby Apple’s dresses because they have sleeves, they’re not low cut and they’re long enough! They definitely fill a niche in the market.

    Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  29. OOOH! Me, pick me!! I love Shabby Apple! And you know that we have our baby boys that sort of freak us out due around the same time! That should be enough to win, right? :)

  30. Hello!
    *waves*
I didn’t make any resolutions, but I love how this dress looks, so I’d make a resolution to wear it every day!
    Have a great year!

  35. Oh my gosh! I am 26 weeks preggo w/ a little boy too and have been obsessively “window” shopping online for all the things I want to buy after I pop this little one out and that would be the perfect addition to my post-baby wardrobe :)

  36. Yes I love this dresssss! :) So adorable. Random fact of the day: I just got back from sitting in the SS office for two hours to change my name, and rewarded myself with a Starbuck for going through all that pain! :D

  37. Oh gosh, I swoon after those dresses all the time ^_^ So wonderful! (And I think one of my NY resolutions is just to make the most of this year! 2010 was pretty good, and I’m going to have a FABULOUS 2011!!)

  38. Oh hai! I’m new around here, but love your site. I’m a new lover of all things Anthropologie as well ;)! Pick me – I need wardrobe help!

  39. 1. I WANT THAT DRESS.

    2. Sorry about the yelling; it’s been a long day.

    3. My random tid-bit of information is going to be the white-trash dinner Jay and I are planning on eating tonight: hot dogs and cheese wrapped up in crescent rolls. Don’t hate.

  40. hey! Adorable black dress :)
    my new years resolutions are
    – learn how to knit (I’ve started to work on it)

  44. Oh, man…that is a super-cute dress. I would feel oh so lucky if I could win it! Pick me, pick me!

  45. I’ve coveted that dress for months! I’ve heard it referred to as a “librarian” dress – which is my day job… mommy by night. I found your blog when searching for fabric flower templates and now read along.

  46. I would loooove to own that :) What a great dress!! Hmm… random fact for you- I love making huge bows for my hair. <3 there you go!

  47. I am a stay at home mamma and one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to take better care of myself!

  48. Does showering you with compliments increase my chances of winning that dress!

Well you’re adorable either way! Also, I LOVE shabby apple! I convinced my sister-in-law to get her bridesmaids shabby apple dresses just so I could have one!

  49. I’ve been following you for awhile! I love your blog! Good luck with the new baby!! I love Shabby Apple and would love to win that dress!!

  50. All I can think about right now is my baby girl starts daycare tomorrow. Tears. Lots of tears.

Now I want this dress. Even though I can’t imagine picking her up from daycare, well, I wanna do it in this dress. With polka dot black tights.

Thats all. I’ll go sulk now.

  51. i’ve been lurking for awhile…so this darling dress will bring me out of hiding. thanks for the great giveaway! :)

  54. Okay, I’m confessing. I JUST found you today, added you to “That which inspires me” on my blog and I’m a little obsessed already! I’m going to link your flower hair pin with the singed edges today. I LOVE your blog. (Oh, and I had a Zone bar for breakfast…LOL)

  55. I’ve been a lurker for quite some time, always enjoy reading your posts but usually don’t comment…for some odd reason?
New Years resolution – to stick to my word more!

  56. They have the cutest dresses everrrrr. I need to start wearing more dresses. I’m such a jeans and tee shirt gal. That needs to change!

  57. I am in LOVE with your blog! This is my 1st comment on your page, even though I laugh hysterically every time I get on here (Which brings snide looks from the male coworkers here… Psssh, whatever, boys…)
Anyhow… My New Years resolution (On top of the normal ones, lose weight, exercise more, try not to kill my mother… etc…) Is to support my local businesses and community.

The dress is absolutely fabulous (Not as fabulous as you, my darling, but still) So, heres to hoping I can start off my 2011 with a stunning black dress!

    Ciao!

  58. That is so cute!! My resolution is to try to eat at least one vegetable every day, to set a good example for my son, who is on a no-vegetable kick.

  59. eeeek I want it! I need a LBD and I can wear it with the hot pink pumps I have been drooling over…..

  60. This dress is exactly what I see myself wearing in my heart…as opposed to the jeans that have become my daily wardrobe. This year I vow to enjoy more high teas with my sister and to wear something that would take my hubby’s breath away (We just celebrated our 15th anniversary). This dress is so classic and ladylike it would be appropriate on both occasions. I would feel like Audrey Hepburn and who wouldn’t love that! I love your blog, I have been following you for quite awhile and I enjoy when you share your amazing crafting skills with us. Thanks!!!

  61. Hi! I ran across your blog…can’t remember how. But, I LOVE IT! I went back and read some of your posts, (I do that when I run across new blogs. To make sure they aren’t just a super boring blogger that I never want to read no matter how bored I am at work). You are adorable pregnant and hilarious!

Anyway, I am a Mommy of three little girls and keep a blog. It’s not quite as funny as yours, but feel free to check it out. http://www.btwilli.blogspot.com

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win the dress. And if I don’t, maybe I’ll buy one for myself (and have it delivered to my office so I can rip the tags off, shove it in the back of my closet and tell my husband “NO! It’s not new…I’ve had it a while” after the one week waiting period is over).

  62. I would like to say that I knew about Shabby Apple…but thanks for telling me that they have a maternity section! I am expecting and having a hard time finding cute clothes lately. So thank you!

  63. I always feel too intimidated to comment on blogs I love…but like many others have said, nothing like an irresistible giveaway to conquer that fear! Even if I don’t win, I will probably go buy that dress anyway…

  64. I have my little lovebird on my shoulder and he is nibbling my hair. That is something, right?
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  68. It’s gorgeous!
I’ve been hanging around for a while, too. I showed up for your felt flower tutorial, but the one where you said “Ballin is my hobby” was my absolute favorite. :) I’ve been lurking ever since.

  73. Hey Morgan,
Love reading your blog. It’s a nice pepper-upper during my work week (shhh, don’t tell my boss!). Love the dress, not really my style, but since my experience with different fashion types amongst roomies in college, I have committed to branching out. Maybe winning the dress will help?

  74. I’ve been reading your site for a while…and pretty sure I’ve never commented before. Yay for pretty dresses!!! :)

  75. My first time commenting but I’ve been wanting to tell you I just LOVE seeing your weekly preggo pics! I love seeing the belly grow…just not mine ;) You are too too cute (I know you don’t feel it, neither did I with either of my babies) but you look great and I enjoy reading your blog.
