So here’s your chance to win two posy rings from my Etsy shop.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post to be entered. As usual, I’m not that picky in what you say in the comment, so fire away with the randomness! I always love hearing from you all. :)

You can receive an additional entry by retweeting me about the giveaway (read: whore out my blog for me, thanks).

Comments and tweets will be open until this Thursday {August 6th} at midnight, and the winner will be announced Friday. Good luck, loves!

Note: If you retweet, please make sure to include @ohmorgosh somewhere in it, so I can track it. Thanks!

Sweet Luxury

Anyway, I stumbled upon a darling little shop over at Etsy that I just had to share. Luxe Deluxe offers a variety of unique, inexpensive and flipping adorable jewelry (have I ever mentioned what an accessory addict I am? DEFINITELY stocking up on some of these little gems).

A few of my favorites:

Love Nest – Umm, could this be any more adorable?

Audrey – Such a lovely take on ‘Modern Vintage’.

So there’s just a little dose of stylish goodness for you all before I leave for my overnight trip to San Francisco. Shopping at Union Square, anyone? You can meet my mom and I first thing at the Market Street Starbucks, but I can’t promise we won’t leave you for dead if you fail to keep up. Shopping. Fools. Right. Here.

Have a great Mother’s Day!

Accessorize, much?

Oh, hi Mary Kate. Quick question… How do you manage to walk upright and not spill your coffee while carrying three times your body weight in accessories?

Okay. I am a jewelry and accessory maniac, but 10+ all at once? Ouch, my eyes.

It’s always been my personal preference to look effortlessly stylish and less gypsy-esque. Over the years, I’ve been acquainted with many ‘rules of thumb’ when it comes to accessorizing. As silly as some of these sound, they really do work!

  • I once heard a woman say that before you leave your house, stand in front of a mirror and do a little twirl. Whatever catches your eye in the mirror as your spinning (I warned you, didn’t I?) is making too much of a statement and you should take it off.
  • No matter where you’re headed, as you’re walking out the door remove one unnecessary item.
  • Accessories should never exceed the amount of seven. This includes glasses, bold nail polish, a wedding ring, and earrings count as two.

So there you have it. Simple, silly, and obvious tips to avoid looking like a gypsy. But hey, if head scarves and tambourines are your thing, by all means, work it.

For the Jewelry-Obsessed

I will be the first to admit I have a little obsession with jewelry… and by little, I mean monstrous. One trip to the mall will mean at least two long necklaces, a pair of dangling earrings, and the occasional huge statement ring. There’s nothing wrong with that, right? Wrong. My ever-growing collection has taken up residence in various drawers, bowls, and plastic baggies in a tangled, jumbled mess. Just this morning I reached in one of the piles, aiming for my triple layered, 18″ gold chain necklace, only to pull out 23 others. Spending three hours untangling them was not on my agenda – such a nightmare.

I found these adorable, functional jewelry stands at Urban Outfitters. They keep your delicate pieces neatly separated, while being decorative and stylish. These are such great little things, and much more practical than a dusty old drawer.

Delight! I love the Little Birch stand, but I just don’t think it’d do the job for me. The Little Birch Forest, perhaps?
