My husband refuses to buy clothes for himself. Honestly, the last time I can remember him actually standing in a clothing store, picking out something for himself to wear was back in 2005. His birthday is coming up and you know what he said he wanted? Best Buy gift cards.
Oh suuuure, walk around looking like a hobo all day, but hey! At least you have that new Xbox game you’ve been obsessing over for the past 3 months. (Anyone else want to smack the person who thought up Call of Duty? If I hear ENEMY UAV IS ONLINE! one more time…)
Lucky for Justin, I like to shop. I do it often and I do it well. I’m also the person everyone consults when they need help picking out his birthday presents. Something tells me Best Buy will not be in the picture this year. Bahahaha.
I’ve always wondered if it would be better or worse to have a husband who liked to shop. Do any of you girlfriends and wives have this issue with your men? Do men who LIKE to shop for clothes even exist??

Tina, you are hilarious. Absolutely loved Baby Mama. And I’m digging the nautical-esque look you have going on here. Can I please copy this general idea, but spend about $2,000 less? Okay, thanks.
So, here’s another celebrity-inspired outfit for a fraction of what the original items cost. Let me know what you all think, and if you have enough time, explore Polyvore and try to beat my deal!

- “The Sweetheart” Curvy Jean – Old Navy: $34.50
- PPQ Stripe Top – Oli: $43.27 (I know I can do better than this… Disgraceful!)
- Ruched Front Cardigan – Dorothy Perkins: $35.40
- Strappy Knot Wedge – Go Jane: $15.99
- Squared Corner Color Frames – House of Sunglasses: $9.99
I had to add the glasses… come on, it’s Tina. :)

The Little Black Dress is the one piece in a woman’s wardrobe she can always rely on to make her feel feminine, lovely, and irresistible… but it can be quite boring if worn all by it’s lonesome!
I’ve come up with a few different ways to change up that black dress using my new favorite toy, Polyvore.
Ladies’ Night
Bold, fun accessories are the easiest way to dress up any outfit. These hot red heels by Steve Madden and funky charm bracelet by Betsey Johnson make this completely appropriate for Girls’ Night Out. Just try not to attract TOO much attention. :)
High Tea

If you’re going out to Sunday brunch or having tea with Grammy, you might want to rethink that zebra print clutch. A more appropriate and sophisticated way to accessorize is with a cute jacket, dainty jewelry and lacey, feminine details. Don’t forget your hankie!
What are your tips and tricks for dressing up the plain old Little Black Dress?

Blake Lively is just too cute for words. And her outfit — GLORIOUS!
Okay, I have a small confession… while sitting at my desk at work (as I am right now — minimize screen power!), my mind is usually on everything BUT my job. One of the most distracting sites on the planet is InStyle.com. I could honestly sit and browse through The Look of the Day for hours (and I have). I get so inspired by all the well-dressed women, and often try to recreate the looks on my own for a lot less money.
Blake Lively’s look just caught my eye for some reason — it’s so crisp and effortless. So, I found some similar items online and just might have to try it out for myself…

So, what do you all think? Please tell me I’m not the only copy cat!

We’ve all had those days where we’ve stood, staring blankly into our black hole-of-a-closet, searching desperately for something to wear but had no idea where to start. With the added pressure that comes from being late to work, having loads of errands to run, or my personal favorite – your handsome date is on his way to pick you up – a meltdown is inevitable.
I’ve found that by having a few neutral basics in your wardrobe you can save yourself some of the stress that goes into planning an outfit. Take the basic white t-shirt and jeans, for instance. Worn alone, you may look a bit blah… but by adding a few glamorous touches, you’ll step out of your house looking completely pulled together and fabulous.
Casual Friday

It’s Casual Friday at work, but you don’t want to look dumpy. What to do, what to do… Layer a graphic tank under your t-shirt and top it off with a cute jacket. A pop of color using great shoes, coordinating accessories, and a big fancy bag will have you looking amazing.
Running Errands

Now you have a ton of errands to run — now is not the time to break in those new heels. Cute and comfortable is the way to go! Adorable flats (oh, how I love animal print), minimal accessories, and a practical purse are essential for a day of walking and shopping.
Date Night

Finally, date night is here! Stress can cause bags under your eyes, which isn’t a good look, even for a beauty like you. Pull it together, love! An olive shrug and plum heels coordinate, without looking too matchy-matchy. Be a little fancy with gold and bronze accessories, including a clutch just big enough to hold your lipstick and keys (he’s paying, remember?).
A white tee and jeans doesn’t have to be boring. They can be used as a simple, effortless foundation and will save you so much hassle if you know what you’re doing. Try it out, my lovelies.
