I have owned this copy of Little Women for years and years, but haven’t read one word of it. I haven’t cracked the cover once.
I know it’s ridiculous, but I just really don’t like reading ugly books. I judge books by their covers. There, I said it.
I don’t know about you, but I am a big fan of cute book covers. I’ll buy pretty much any type of book, as long as the front is pretty and colorful (which, in all honesty, is probably why I ended up with so many trashy chick-lit books from that one overtly girlie section at Borders).
My solution?
Cover the… cover. And add a bow. Because, duh.
ADORABLE!
Hi!
I love your blog – and your little girl is just beautiful.
I’m with you on the book thing – in fact I have to admit when I am looking for new reading material I will choose my books solely based on whether the cover is pretty/sexy/enticing …..
Now that would make an interesting book club …
cute!! and it really IS a good book :)
You still must read it. It’s one of the best books ever- seriously, ever!! I suppose you can wait until Maddie is in 7th grade and you can read it together, but that’s a LONG time off!!
Haha! Brings me back to the days in school when they made us cover our books!
very cute :) I totally judge books on their covers too! I’ve picked up quite a few books just because I liked the cover
This is SO cute! Great move!
Sometimes I buy old books just because they look cool. I have no intention of ever reading them, but damn they look good in my bookcase.
p.s. I almost bought one for Maddie when you were pregnant but Cale said that would be the lamest present ever. It was antique silver and purple! No clue what it was about… but so cute!
much improved indeed!
Lol. I’m the same way.
Ps. I left you an award on my blog ;)
the story is based during the civil war and the cover looks so 70s haha its not ugly its creepy. cute cover.
You are so full of good ideas! As a marketing major I so totally agree with you. If it’s not visually appealing, people wont even want to touch it, let alone read it.
And sorry to Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy… but that is one fugly cover.
I am totally judging that book by its cover. Nice fix! I would read it now!
that is the oddest picture for Little Women… I don’t understand why they look like they’re from the 70’s. I like your thinking… bows make everything better…
