La la la la laaaa… pretending not to be slightly depressed by the fact that my firstborn is considered an actual kid now.
Last year I started asking her the following 20 questions. I plan on doing this every year on her birthday to see how she’s grown and changed since the previous year. Maybe I’ll put the photos and her answers into a book or something and give it to her when she moves out. WHICH WILL BE NEVER BECAUSE SHE’LL ALWAYS BE MY BABY GIRL DON’T LEAVE ME MADDIE NO DON’T GO.
Ahem. Here are her answers.

- What is your favorite toy? Umm, Ariel.
- What is your favorite fruit? Oranges

She’s so precious!! Happy Birthday Maddie Jo!!!
Oh wow. She’s four now? I remember when you were pregnant with her! It definitely doesn’t feel like that long ago.
And she’s adorable. :D
Tell her Auntie Nat is proud she’s watching PBS Kids. But, in all honesty, even her PBS working Auntie Nat is not a fan of Caillou. Tell her to try Wordgirl instead. Wordgirl is cool, and doesn’t whine “are we there yet”, therefore, she is awesome.
Also, it’s really sweet that her favorite thing to do outside is play with her brother :-) that makes me happy.
she’s so cute and i bet she will get cuter and more fun for you each year. i used to be afraid of the teenage years, but not anymore. i met some awesome ones that were a lot of fun. they were like…humans or something. any who, i think she’s gonna be a fun girl every step of the way.
and Caillou. Kill me. Now.
Happy birthday, Maddie! Love those questions, I’m gonna steal them and ask my girl, too :)
Happy birthday to all the Maddies! My neice is 11 today, and also named Maddie!
I hear you on shows like Calliou. Nails on a chalk board, that child. My girls started picking up a lot of bad habits from some of the little snots they have as main characters these days, so we “broke” our television. It’s amazing what erasing channels from the television’s memory can do. Of course, it helped that Hubby and I had started getting fed up with the programming on too, and Netflix has a great selection of retro series on play now.
Maddie has a lot of really good answers! I love that she’s so considerate wanting to wait until everyone was there to get her pizza, so she could share.
