…Because I’m 10, Apparently.

What happens when you have nothing left to read in your Google Reader, you find some old crusty gel pens, and have absolutely NOTHING to do at work? Why, plan out your next day to-do list, of course!

How sad is it that I’m looking forward to my shows so much that I actually include it in my to-do list?  I’m lame.

The Doctor’s appointment went well — was able to hear the baby’s heartbeat, which was awesome. It’s beating in the 160’s, which – according to pregnancy myths – might mean it’s a little mini-me. Oh please, oh please, oh please be a girl!

And now, I’m off to enjoy some yummy tea with my great and fabulous friend Tara.

Have fun watching The Office tonight… it’s the last one! :(

12 Weeks

What better way to celebrate the 3 month mark than to buy yourself a pair of stretchy maternity pants? These things don’t even have a zipper… they’re basically pregnant lady pull-ups. I’m just keepin’ it classy.

I figure my bump is about 90% gas, 10% baby at this point, but it’s far better to walk around in these puppies than suffocate my uterus. I actually don’t think I could have handled it for another minute, anyway.

I feel legit. :)

P.S. Could I have made a more hideous face?  I think not.

Note to Justin: I realize I’ve spent about $23,000 this week, but these were on sale. When you have a full-on Lemon Baby in your stomach, come back and tell me that I don’t need these. J/K, I love you.

Chick Flicks

Oh, Mr. Darcy. Oh, Mr. Darcy.

We love them, our moms love them, and even our men love them (although they rarely admit it)… And who can blame us? Girl movies are the best!

Doesn’t it seem like there’s a movie that was made to correspond with any given mood you’re in? Sappy, cheesy, silly, romantic, girl power-ish… ah, I love them all.

I’ve made a list of my favorites, so in no particular order (except my #1)…

Morgan’s Top 20 Chick Flicks

  • Pride & Prejudice – The Original with Colin Firth
  • You’ve Got Mail
  • Some Like it Hot
  • Where the Heart Is
  • Sabrina
  • The Notebook
  • Clueless
  • Sleeping with the Enemy
  • While You Were Sleeping
  • Memoirs of a Geisha
  • Never Been Kissed
  • Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion
  • Bridget Jones’ Diary
  • Bring It On
  • A League of Their Own
  • Love Actually
  • Serendipity
  • Sixteen Candles
  • Sleepless in Seattle
  • French Kiss

On Girls’ Night, we always watch a few movies, eat a ton of junk food (taquitos and guacamole almost always make an appearance), and do mani/pedi’s! What are your top 5 chick flicks? Anyone have a favorite Girl’s Night tradition?

On the Menu Today…

  • Pesto Bagel with cream cheese
  • Fruit by the Foot
  • Raspberry Lollipop (to ease the morning sickness)
  • Giant glass of lemonade

  • 2 Packages of Easy Mac
  • enough Goldfish to feed a gaggle of toddlers for a week
  • an italian cream soda (I hunted this thing down on my lunch… the craving set in around 10am and wasn’t giving up!)

Yep, I’m treatin’ this baby right… by paving the way for obesity!

I’m slightly confused by the random food cravings. At certain parts of the day, it’s all I can do not to sneak out of the office and go buy a fatty bean and cheese burrito from the mexican restaurant next door, and other times all I want is lemonade.

For those of you who have been pregnant, what have your freakish cravings been? Have you actually ever wanted pickles and ice cream? Have the rest of you ever witnessed a pregnant friend’s crazy eating habits? Help me feel normal here. :)

le week-end

The lovely Larissa posted a blog about her weekend plans… and now I will copy her. :)

  • Tonight is the long-awaited double date with some good friends of ours, Brent and Danelle, at Cheesecake Factory. Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake — 1,000,000,000 calories, chunky thighs and all — here comes the starving pregnant lady to devour you!
  • Saturday morning at the crack of dawn, the plan is to go hit up a few yard sales. Last weekend I found some amazing deals (details to come… OH, you’ll flip). The goal tomorrow is to find some sort of a big, old chest to use as a coffee table. We’ll see how it goes.
  • Babysitting this Mama’s baby, which will be no problem. I’ve never seen this kid cry — he’s so good! We’ll just see how quickly changing dirty diapers comes back to me.
  • Tomorrow evening is a dinner at a pizza parlor to celebrate my wonderful friend Anna’s graduation. The evening is sure to be a blast — her family is Armenian and loud and crazy. They’re my favorites.
  • Attending church with the family on Sunday morning… May, or may not mooch off of parents for lunch afterward.
  • Pedicure on Sunday afternoon. Lord, how my feet need it!
  • Oh, and at some point, I need to watch last night’s episode of LOST. Like Jack’s really going to die. Pshh… He doesn’t, does he? NO WAIT — don’t tell me.

So far, I’m confident I started this weekend out right — by wearing cute shoes and eating a maple bar. What are everyone’s plans?
